چکیده
Inhibition of maltase, sucrase, isomaltase and glucoamylase activity by acarbose, epigallocatechin gallate, epicatechin gallate four polyphenol-rich tea extract from white, green, oolong, black tea, were investigated using rat intestinal enzymes human Caco-2 cells. Regarding enzyme mixture, all extracts very effective in inhibiting maltase activity, but only white inhibited sucrase the inhibition was limited. Mixed-type on observed. Tea combination with produced a synergistic inhibitory effect activity. cells experiments conducted Transwells. Green show dose-dependent no The opposite observed results highlighted different response two model systems that polyphenols are good inhibitors for α-glucosidase

متن کاملEffect of four intestinal strains on TNF-α IL8 and IL6 expression in Caco-2 cells
[email protected] Gut microbiota play an important roles in induction of various cellular responses, including cytokine production. In this work, we examined the involvement of four intestinal strains in induction of the cytokine response (the relative expression of TNF-α, IL-6, and IL-8) in intestinal epithelial cells. Caco-2 cells were treated with cell-free supernatants (CFS) of four intestin...
متن کاملDelivery of tea polyphenols to the oral cavity by green tea leaves and black tea extract.
Catechins and theaflavins, polyphenolic compounds derived from tea (Camellia sinensis, fam. Theaceae), have been reported to have a wide range of biological activities including prevention of tooth decay and oral cancer. The present study was undertaken to determine the usefulness of green tea leaves and black tea extract for the delivery of catechins and theaflavins to the oral cavity. After h...

Celastrol, a triterpenoid isolated from stem (caulis) of Celastrus orbiculatus Thunb. (Celastraceae), has been known to have various pharmacological effects, including anti-inflammatory, anticancer, and antioxidant activities. However, the mechanism of the intestinal absorption of celastrol is unknown. The aim of this study was to investigate the intestinal absorption of celastrol using the Cac...
متن کاملEvaluation of the intestinal permeability of rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis L.) extract polyphenols and terpenoids in Caco-2 cell monolayers
Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis) is grown throughout the world and is widely used as a medicinal herb and to season and preserve food. Rosemary polyphenols and terpenoids have attracted great interest due to their potential health benefits. However, complete information regarding their absorption and bioavailability in Caco-2 cell model is scarce. The permeation properties of the bioactive com...
